The Brands!
Blendtec: An innovative American company making fabulous blenders that will blend anything! With a Blendtec life has become simpler as I don’t have to chop things for them to blend, or soak nuts for the Indian sauces!
So Delicious Dairy Free: Nestled within Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley, So Delicious® Dairy Free has been bringing joy to dairy-free lives for more than twenty-five years. They offer an array of delicious dairy-free delights you can feel good about sipping, biting, pouring, scooping, licking, and chugging throughout your day. Non dairy milks and yogurts form a good part of Indian cuisine as well and I have loved using So Delicious products for the book! Many of the products are made with organic ingredients, and are always 100 percent plant-based, Non-GMO Project Verified with no artificial sweeteners, trans-fats, or hydrogenated oils, use sustainable ingredients and methods.
Beyond Meat: Beyond meat is a fabulous 100% plant based protein company that also has a fantastic support system for bloggers, consumers and everyone! A lot of vegans choose to eat vegan, not because they don’t like the taste, but because they want to reduce the pain involved in the food on their table. Beyond Meat makes it super simple to whip your family favorite recipes with the protein sub. Their goals include improving health, positively impacting climate change and improving animal welfare!
Bob’s Red Mill: Committed to providing the best quality food, Bob’s Red Mill has become a permanent fixture in our house. Often times, the flours or beans from Indian stores bother my tummy because they rarely have dates on them. I love finding my favorite Indian Pantry items all fresh and delicious from Bob’s. . These are the three principles our business is built on. Their packaging is a great example of the commitment to Trust, honesty and integrity: the clear bags that let you see the high quality of every one of our products.
Magic Bullet: The Magic Bullet is a fabulous concept in labor-saving devices. Often I need to blend or grind small amounts of spices or pastes and the bigger blenders and food processors do not handle that amount. The Magic Bullet comes in handy for several prep work for Indian food. It is so versatile and easy to use that I end up using it EVERY single day!
Cuisinart: A leading bran for that you would nee din the kitchen to help out, Cuisnart does not need an introduction. The food processors make prep for larger meals or frequent cooking a breeze!
Living Harvest Tempt Hemp Tofu: Tempt Hemp Tofu is a fabulous soy-free Tofu to use in Indian food. the texture is closer to paneer and it works out really well with Indian sauces and flavors. Tempt products offer the goodness of hemp nutrition with incredible taste. Living Harvest, Inc. is a global leader in hemp food products, including Temptâ„¢ hemp milk, hemp tofu and protein powder.
Earth Balance: Vegan butters, milks and spreads are often used in my house and we just look for the Earth Balance logo when shopping. Earth Balance products are 100% plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, lactose-free, egg-free, casein-free, have 0g of trans fat and delicious. Everything we make is tasty enough to stand strong on its own, but any of our products can also be the perfect substitute in all your favorite cooking or baking recipes. It also helps to have offerings like popcorn and mac and cheese for snacking!
World Spice Market: World spice Market is my one stop local shop for all kinds of spices. Often, Indian spices are harder to find in general spice shops, but world spice has all of the spices that I use regularly, Indian and others as well. The spices are noticeably fresh and add a punch to whatever I use them in! It is a modern day spice bazaar — vibrant, diverse, and exploding with flavors from around the globe. With over 200 spice selections gracing the shelves, World Spice is a destination offering unique flavor selections for every one, chef or not.
InstantPot – Pressure Cookers are a permanent fiture in my house to quickly cook up beans and lentils. and a programmable Pressure cooker which can also make yogurt, is safer, intelligent and can be controlled by bluetooth is a must!
Eat Grain (Canada): GRAIN brings you farm-direct dry goods with a story — stories of real people growing food. They source Canadian products exclusively, choosing only the best, from farmers and processors they know. They present a new way. Grain was founded by one of my blogger friends and I love the initiative! I grew up eating fresh grains and beans often from farmers we knew, getting those grains milled at our neighborhood mill! Taste bread, flatbread, Rotis made with fresh-milled flour — or experience the satisfaction of cooking chickpeas from scratch!
A big Heartfelt THANK YOU to all the brands and companies that are giving away amazing stuff!
Is the giveaway over???? I just stumbled upon your book through another site…….Thank you
yes it is. I do have some gifts left though. So if the forms are open, you can fill them up. or just email me the gift you are entering for with the order receipt.
I bought the book and was a bit intimidated by all the ingredients, however I made the mango curry tofu (except subbed chickpeas as suggested in the recipe). It was fast, easy and FANTASTIC! I didn’t want to stop eating it.
I will definitely try out other recipes ASAP!
Yay so glad you did. It might be intimidating because of the long spice lists but then they are just spices added in order. The spices and herbs are needed for the deep flavors in Indian food. But believe me, these recipes are much much simplified versions of the original traditional ones 🙂 Start with the easy ones(marked easy or suggested in the beginning ). xoxo
